Italian Organic Red Wine

Red wine with one ruby red color filled with richness and elegance. Aromatic scent from the most intense to the most delicate. From ripe to bitter fruit, from the earth to the toasted balsamic woods, the wild flowers to fruit jellies, to arrive at stadiums of leather extremes.

Food Pairing: A meditation wine, ideal with red meat & game. Excellent as an aperitif, and first courses.

We recommend that you enjoy this organic red wine at one temperature between 16°C to 18°C.

Grape/Blend: 60% Montepulciano and 40% Merlot 
Vintage: 2014
Planting Density and Training System: 4000 plants per hectare and Guyot
Harvesting Period: Second half of October

Wine-making Process: When in an advanced state of ripeness, the grapes are harvested manually at a temperature ranging between 22-24 ° C for 15-16 days. The Montepulciano is harvested later.

Refinement: Both the Merlot and Montepulciano are aged between 6 to 8 months. The Merlot in oak barrels, and the Montepulciano in stainless steel tanks.

Alcohol Content: 14%

One red wine with 60% Montepulciano and 40% Merlot wine grapes, these blends are luxurious deep organic red wines that combine one of Abruzzo’s preferred grapes – Montepulciano, with one of the world’s most widely planted varieties,  Merlot.

The red wine Alzavola Rosso is considered an “easy-drinking” wine thanks to its rich tannins and deliciously soft velvety dark fruit flavors such as cherry and plum.

This classy blend, is ideal with red meat, game, excellent as an aperitif, and first courses.
